When is the best time to book a maternity or newborn session?

We recommend booking during your second trimester. This ensures availability and gives us plenty of time to plan the personalized details of your session.

Do you offer bundle packages?

Yes! When you book two sessions—such as maternity and newborn—you’ll receive 10% off your total. A 50% deposit is due at the time of booking, and the remaining balance is due one week prior to your first session.

How do newborn sessions work?

We’ll reserve your due date on our calendar to hold space for your session. Once your baby arrives, simply email us and we’ll finalize the shoot date. Sessions typically take place within the first 7–14 days after birth.

How long do sessions typically take?

For sessions that include makeup and wardrobe, you can expect the session to last around 4 hours. For other sessions, we typically schedule about 45 minutes per outfit.

What wardrobe options are available for my session?

For maternity and newborn sessions, we provide a selection of wardrobe pieces for moms and babies. Outfits for dads and siblings are not included and we’re happy to offer styling guidance to ensure everyone coordinates beautifully.

Do you help with posing?

Absolutely. You won’t have to worry about a thing—I’ll guide you through every pose from head to toe. My goal is to help you feel confident, natural, and radiant in front of the camera, whether it's your first session or your fifth.

Can I see the wardrobe closet?

Absolutely! You can view our client wardrobe here: www.kkhorhn.com/clientcloset

Where can my session take place?

All sessions are held in our full-service studio located in West Midtown Atlanta or at a mutually agreed-upon outdoor location. For newborns, in-hospital sessions can be arranged for an additional fee starting at $150.

What is the cancellation policy?

A cancellation is never what we hope for but we understand that things come up. In the event of the client cancellation for any reason the retainer fee is non-refundable. If the cancellation is initiated by the KK Horhn Photography, all monies paid will be fully refunded, including the retainer fee. Refund shall be paid out within one week of our cancellation. If you wish to reschedule for personal or other reasons, you must provide 48 hours’ notice. Any amount paid may be used as a credit. You are permitted to reschedule the session one time and the reschedule date must take place within 90 days after the original portrait session date.

What is the turnaround time for pictures?

You can expect your proof gallery within 7 business days, following your portrait session. Once you’ve selected your photos, please allow up to 14 business days to receive the final gallery.

Will I receive my full gallery along with the retouched images?

Your final gallery will include only the images you’ve selected and purchased. We do not deliver unedited or unretouched images, as we believe in providing fully polished photographs that reflect the quality and care we put into every session.

Do you work well with children?

Yes! I have years of experience working with children and know how to keep sessions fun, relaxed, and stress-free. Whether your little one is shy or full of energy, I create a space where their personality can shine—and we still get the shot.

What is the best time of day for an outdoor session?

Outdoor Portrait sessions take place no later than 3 hours after sunrise and no earlier than 3 hours before sunset. This allows us to make the best use of lighting.

What happens if we experience inclement weather?

Rain, sleet or snow - do not worry. In the event of a storm, natural disaster or any inclement weather, we will work with you to reschedule your service at an agreed upon time and date within 90 days of the original date.

Do you offer mini sessions?

Yes, I offer mini sessions twice a year—once in the spring and once in the fall. These sessions are a great way to capture beautiful moments in a shorter time frame, so be sure to sign up early. Here is the link: https://book.usesession.com/i/Jwi9eJknp
