Portrait Photography: Darien

Darien. Morehouse College.

Photographing Darien for his graduation photos was a surreal experience.  Darien and I grew up in the same neighborhood and we met in church.  While Darien is nearly 10 years younger than me, his older brother and I are around the same age.  I remember Darien being the little brother, cute and full of energy!  So seeing him "all grown up" and graduating from such a distinguished college made me feel so proud!  Darien is doing and will continue to do great things.  He is the host of a college radio show, graduating Magna Cum Laude and plans to go on to Divinity School.  I love his photographs because they show someone who is sure of his potential but still know how to have fun.  I am so thankful for the opportunity to capture this wonderful milestone in his amazing journey!

Darien had some great ideas about on campus location including graves hall and a statue of Martin Luther King which provided a great backdrop for this shoot.
